Rexburg and Island Park
Had a week long vacation to Eastern Idaho. Fished with my bro-in-law Paul who caught the majority of the big fish. Had a blast catching brookies, rainbows, and cutts.

Lake Mead Carp
Fished Mead from 3-7 pm. Pulled in this giant Carp on some corn. Sometimes you have to use crap bait to catch crap fish. He weighed about 5 pounds and put up a big fight.

Lake Mead Stripes
Fished Mead last Saturday. Picked up 3 decent stripers on a cool looking spinner, jig head, swimbait combo I put together. Gotta love fishing~!

Finally something to report
I have been contemplating buying something that will get me "out on the water" for sometime now. I picked up this fishing kayak from Bass Pro Shops the other day. Bought life vest, oars, and some tie downs so I could actually get it up to the lake. I then fabricated a little bracket and mounted a fish finder on it! It is powered by an RC Car rechargeable battery.
My bro-in-law taking it for a spin
Took it out to Lake Mead and had a blast. I only caught a few small stripers, but it was fun just cruising around and seeing what was below me. Looking forward to many adventures in this thing.

Long time-Return
My name is Brent Carver, fishing friend of Casey. I have made a few posts in the past. This is my third generation of lures I've made, and it works remarkably well. Its a shallow swimming crankbait without a lip. It go's from side to side like walking the dog without any extra rod movement needed.
Pretty neat.

Floating the Green River
Floated the Green in December with my father in law. Went with a guided fly fishing service. The browns were towards the end of their spawn which made for amazing fishing. We caught about 75 fish between the two of us in about 8 hours. Also saw a golden eagle and 2 bald eagles. Possibly one of the best fishing days of my life.

Lake Mead StRiPeR
Have had little or no success at Lake Mead for the past 2 months. Went out this morning and arrived at 7 am. After a 10 minute hike, I finally arrived at nice little cove. A few minutes later I hooked up with this 19" Striper. This is the first good sized striper I have caught. I was using a big White bucktail jig, 1/2 oz.
