Secret Spot Again!!

Me and Dave hit up my new secret spot at Scofield, thanks Hayden, this morning at 6:00am. We instantly started catching fish as I caught three fish on my first three casts!! They were bigger today also. Lures were working good as usual, but today I tried something new. I caught some live minnows and used them as bait under a bobber. I caught a fish every time within 5 minutes and some of them were very nice size, including my biggest tiger ever. Such a good day, I also caught the biggest fish ive ever seen out of scofield, a nice cutt. Dave caught a couple on his rapala, and then a bunch more on other lures. I also caught the biggest Utah Chub ive ever seen. Kinda cool. So Sick!!!

Anderson Reservoir- Squaw

(CASEY'S friend) Went camping with my family at Anderson Ranch Reservoir. This Reservoir is very wide spread and has so many spots to fish. I caught 8 koko salmon, and one giant SQUAW fish (pike minnow). These fish eat the smaller fish, and are a pest to the nicer fish. However he was such a great fight that I let him go. He fought well! I caught him on an orange krockadile spoon. Great lure!

Secret Spot at Scofield!!

Left at 4:15am this morning with a mission buddy and his brother for scofield. Got up there at the perfect time and there were fishing rising like crazy. He told me he had a secret spot that only people with cabins could get to because of the gated entry. He had the code from someone who had a cabin up there and we got onto some pretty rough roads. We hiked another 10 minutes and as soon as I saw this spot I knew it was going to be good. I said, watch this Ill catch one on my first cast. I cast out, and sure enough I got nailed. The fishing was hot and fast. I lost count after about 15 and probably ended up with over 20 fish. None of them were huge, but definitely bigger for scofield. I only stopped to take one picture today, because the fishing was so good i didnt want to stop. We probably had over 40 fish between the 3 of us.

Fishing Season

Well, it seems the fishing season is finally starting. The weather is good and the fish are starting to bite.

This morning I woke up at 4:30 am to go fishing. I went to Chester Dam on the Henrys Fork and caught 9  rainbows,  1 brown. They were all between 13" and 16" but I managed to pull in a 19" as well. It was a beautiful day to fish and the fish were jmping all over the place.

Scofield

Dave and I set off for Scofield this morning. Arrived at 6:00am and the fishing was red hot. We each caught a bunch of rainbows and tiger trout with one cutt. Dave had the biggest fish of the day, but right as he was walking over so I could take a pic, it flopped out of his hands and back into the lake. Haha. It was a very nice tiger, probably about 16 inches. We were getting hit on almost every other cast when at about 8:30 the fishing died all at once. Not a single thing happened after that, kinda weird but a good day.

Chester Dam

I found a new place on the North Fork called Chester Dam. The river comes to crawl at the small dam and creates a mini lake on the river. My third cast after arriving I nailed this 19.5" rainbow. He fought like a beast and got my adenaline rushing. I didn't have much time to fish, but certainly a place I want to go back to.

First Fish Ever!

My wife and I found a babysitter so we could go fishing Saturday. We drove 45 minutes to warm river, but unfortunately the fish weren't biting this time around. We moved over to Robinson Creek but the water was moving real fast. My wife would get her lure stuck in the tree, and then it would get stuck in the bushes, and then her line would get tangled, and each time I would give her my pole so I could fix the problem. Well, she decided she wanted to go on her own so she crossed the road and fished on the upper part of the river. All of a sudden she yells "I got one!" and to my surprise she caught a beautiful brown! It was the only fish we landed all day, and perfect for a first time catch. Now I just have to convince her to go more often!
